Taking this summer off was the best thing I could have done for myself, my practice and quite frankly, my teaching. Back in February when my yoga world got turned upside down, I contempated stepping away from teaching and just use the knowledge I had gained over the past five years for my own personal practice. That seemed selfish to me then and I feel the same way now. There are so many people in our community that can use the healing aspects of yoga to help them shift mentally, physically, spiritually. Perhaps even all three. That is what usually happens, once the body begins to open, the mind and spirit follow suit. With all the bickering going on in political ads in the media, I wish more people had the practice of yoga to help them navigate the campaign. We are entitled to our opinions; that is what makes our country unique and outstanding. Actually, is it the two extremes that help us find a great place in the middle? Is that compromise? Or is it one side helping the other side see a different perspective. Yoga helps us see that life is usually never about the extremes, but a peaceful, well informed, time-tested place somewhere in between. I am so excited to unite our yoga community again this September. With a fresh perspective and some new ideas about how to take your practice to the next level.
I am a devoted yoga enthusiast and teacher.
